Originally from Roswell, Georgia, Adrienne is a May 2018 graduate of Vanderbilt University. During her time there she double majored in Political Science and Human & Organization Development with a concentration on International Policy. Outside of the classroom, Adrienne focused on public relations and communications by writing for the student newspaper, running her sorority’s PR strategy and interning at a local PR firm. At the PR firm Adrienne helped propose a new internal communication strategy to bridge information gaps between different generations of employees. Adrienne also had the opportunity to intern with the Senate Finance Committee and Marriott International, providing her with insight into public and private sector work. While working in the Senate, Adrienne drafted press releases for the committee and aided in preparations for committee hearings. At Marriott, Adrienne supported the Luxury Brand Operations team as they sought to re-evaluate their previous auditing methods and brand standards.
In her spare time Adrienne enjoys running, exploring coffee shops, and listening to podcasts. She is looking forward to getting to know the heart of Atlanta as she begins with the LEAD Program.
Austin is from Fort Wayne, Indiana and a May 2018 graduate from DePauw University with a double-major in Spanish and Psychology. In his time at DePauw, Austin wrote for the school’s newspaper and served as the publication’s sports editor during his sophomore and senior years. He was also a member of Media Fellows, a program that provides students with hands-on media experiences in TV, radio, and newspaper on and off campus. For his semester internship with the program, Austin worked at a wine-tasting company in Buenos Aires, Argentina. There, he ran the company’s social media and helped create promotional videos while also getting the chance to practice his Spanish every day. During his senior year, Austin created a marketing campaign for DePauw’s newspaper that included revamping the publication’s social media presence and developing an e-newsletter.
In his free time, Austin enjoys going to the gym, playing the drums, and watching baseball. Although he’s a die-hard Pittsburgh Pirates fan, he looks forward to finally seeing the Atlanta Braves’ new stadium in person. Austin is incredibly excited to begin this new chapter with Cox and the LEAD program.
Hayley is a 2018 graduate from Southern Methodist University’s Cox School of Business with a BBA in Marketing, a minor in Advertising, and a Hunt Leadership Scholar. On campus she participated in Student Foundation, organized the homecoming parade, volunteered with Service for Sight, and coordinated programming for the Hunt Leadership Scholars. Through these roles Hayley developed teamwork and project management skills.
As an Atlanta native Hayley is thrilled to join Cox and LEAD. She interned in telecommunications with AT&T the past two summers, first in product management focusing on improvements to customer experience. Most recently Hayley developed employee training, a social media presence, and communications materials related to the use of the company’s logo and brand while working in Global Marketing. At AT&T she had the opportunity to participate with several cross-functional teams and learn from experienced project and process managers.
In her spare time Hayley enjoys being outside with friends, dancing, taking photos and traveling. One of her favorite college experiences was from her summer study abroad program in Orvieto, Italy.
Justin "J. Lee" Lee is a native of New Orleans, LA, who resides in Atlanta, GA. He graduated from Morehouse College in May 2018 with a Bachelors in Marketing and a minor in Sales. During his time at Morehouse he was the president of his fraternity, Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., a Student Ambassador, SGA Social Chair, Homecoming Director, Man of the Year for Entrepreneurs, and much more. Throughout his matriculation Justin studied abroad in Cuba, won multiple sales competitions and secured internships with Nestle, State Farm, Team Epiphany, and Sales Force. In addition to maintaining his full academic scholarship at Morehouse all four years, Justin won additional scholarships from Marketing and Sales competitions. He has a passion for entrepreneurship and often spends his time researching the stock market, cryptocurrencies, real estate and technology.
Justin’s proudest moment was graduating from high school in 2 years as the valedictorian at the age of 15. His hobbies include traveling, playing the drums, golfing, researching business opportunities, and spending time with his family and friends.
Abbi is originally from Louisville, Kentucky but spent most of her life in Atlanta. She graduated from the University of Georgia in May of 2018 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Health Promotion and Behavior and a Minor in Communication Studies. During her time at UGA, she completed several professional experiences including interning in the Athens-Clarke County Unified Government Human Resources Department and interning at one of the largest non-profits in the nation. Her greatest accomplishment was receiving the Most Outstanding Graduate Award for her major.
In her free time, she enjoys reading books, collecting sneakers, eating delicious food, exercising, and spending time with family and friends.
Originally from Niagara Falls, New York, Devan graduated summa cum laude in May 2018 from Arcadia University with a B.A. in International Studies and a minor in Political Science. In her three years at Arcadia, she studied abroad in London, England and traveled to Istanbul, Munich, Geneva, Brussels, and more. Devan was an active member of the Arcadia community as a research assistant for the Department of Historical and Political Studies, teaching assistant, editor for the university’s scholarly journal, member of the String Ensemble, and Co-President of the school’s human rights organization. She was a recipient of the David C. Larsen Award in International Studies for her academic contributions and thesis project on the diffusion of civil resistance across the post-Soviet generation.
In addition to these experiences, Devan held several part-time jobs and served as an intern at CommunityRoot, where she conducted lead research and supported the development of new marketing strategies.
Listya has lived in many places around the world but she is originally from Los Angeles and has lived in Johns Creek and Roswell the past few years. A May 2018 graduate from the University of Georgia, she received her B.B.A. in Marketing, an A.B.J. in Advertising, and a Certificate in Personal and Organizational Leadership. During her time at UGA she was heavily involved in the world's largest youth-run non-profit called AIESEC and a service-learning program called IMPACT. She has also participated in several marketing competitions, and her proudest moment in college was winning the Digital Marketing Competition which earned her a free trip to San Francisco.
Listya's work experiences have included being a deli clerk at Kroger, a communications intern at the UGA Department of International Student Life, and a social media marketing intern at Newell Brands. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, reading books, playing ultimate frisbee, exploring new restaurants, and finding dogs to take pictures of.
Talha is originally from Pakistan but has been in Atlanta since 1996. He is a 2017 graduate from the Georgia Institute of Technology with a degree in Information Technology Management. During his time at Georgia Tech, he participated in the Georgia Tech Lorraine study abroad program in Europe. The program allowed him to attend Georgia Tech’s satellite campus in France and gave him the opportunity to travel all over Europe for four months!
His past experiences have included internships at Norfolk Southern, Kimberly Clark, and Boeing, where he particularly enjoyed seeing millions of pieces come together to form an airplane and watching that airplane take flight.
His passions also include entrepreneurship and real estate investing, and during his spare time he enjoys traveling and trying new restaurants with friends and family.
Tori is from the Chicagoland area and graduated in May 2018 from Vanderbilt University with a degree in Engineering Science and a minor in Engineering Management. During her college career Tori discovered a passion for improving and redesigning systems. She participated in a variety of projects at Vanderbilt ranging from creating an ACL tear prevention cleat for collegiate football players and improving the patient transportation system at the Vanderbilt University Adult Hospital. Additionally, her introduction to project management led to her interest in risk mitigation and environmental engineering.
As a Chicago native Tori enjoys cheering for the Chicago Cubs, reading detective novels, taste-testing new ice cream flavors at Jeni's and trail running.
